Sicily Apart is an open project devoted to towns and to the forms of life that persist within them. They are ground inhabited beyond function: places shaped by stone, light, labour, memory, and sedimented time. Still lived in and still structured by ordinary presence, they also bear arrangements whose original energies have gradually receded. History remains within them as surface and residue. What emerges is persistence itself: the quiet survival of forms, materials, and human rhythms within places that continue to endure.
